Best bunting

We love summer. Lots of events to take the pies to, new people to meet, pretty dresses to wear and old chums to hook up with. It’s like a Norfolk social calendar.

June 2011

4th – Creake Abbey Farmer’s Market. Named best Farmer’s Market in Norfolk by the EDP

5th – Easton College Open Day Food, animals and fun activities at Norfolk’s agricultural college.

18th – NNUH fete in aid of Cots for Tots – so please come along and support the day.

16-19th – Red Card Comedy Festival Evenings of beer, mirth and pies in Norwich’s Chapelfield Gardens. Milton Jones, Sean Hughes, Lucy Porter and more. And we get to watch too!

26th – Bayfield HallFete and Scruffs dog event. Lots of silliness in lovely North Norfolk stately parkland

Early morning. Nearly set up.

29th & 30th –The Royal Norfolk Show. Needs no introduction, we’ll be in the Food Hall, which happily has more and more great local producers in with the big boys each year.

July

2nd – Creake Abbey Farmer’s Market Named best Farmer’s Market in Norfolk by the EDP

7th – We leave Norfolk and head down to Chiswick Gardens with the pies for the annual Soho House Garden Festival. Best party ever! Video here

16th – Second outing of the brilliant new Norwich Farmer’s Market run by the Norfolk Diet team at The Forum Norwich. Masses of very good quality stalls in the City Centre.

27th –Sandringham Flower Show. Attended by HRH Prince Charles. We’ll be in the Norfolk Food Marquee.

30th & 31st – Worstead Festival. Including a Bray’s Cottage pork pie demonstration in the cookery theatre.

August

2nd – Wells Carnival on the quay

3rd – Felbrigg Chilli Fiesta at the beautiful NT Felbrigg Hall. Always a hugely popular event with lots of stalls featuring chilli and non chilli products. We’ll have our chilli pies with us (plus the rest of the pie range).

6th – Big Onion Festival, Elveden – featuring all things onion. Including our famous onion marmalade pies. We love a theme.

6th – Creake Abbey Farmer’s Market Named best Farmer’s Market in Norfolk by the EDP

7th – Wayland Agricultural Show Our first time at Wayland, they are focussing on great Norfolk produce.

29th – Aylsham Agricultural Show Set in the grounds of  the beautiful Blickling Hall by the lake. The Food and Farming tents are a joy. Plus lots of animals and masses to see and do.
